The standard issue medium machine gun for Italian armed forces during the war, the Breda M37 was fed by 20-round stripper clips. Although the Breda required lubricated cartridges to operate, the machine gun was known for its reliablity, even in the harsh conditions of North Africa and the Eastern Front.
