A relic of the First World War, the BAR was the standard issue light machine gun for US troops throughout the war and continued in service to be used during the Korean War. The Army model had a selector switch to fire in two different automatic modes, while the USMC model allowed for selective-fire between full-automatic and semiautomatic operation.
